Title: Math is fun!
Post by: Birdbrain on April 22, 2013, 11:20:14 AM
Now that eggs is banned. I wanted to reveal a deck concept I want to build called "math is fun!"

It's a deck that uses {clock of omens} and I want the victory condition to be {enter the infinite}. Possibly even go infinite with it (with the help of {Elixer of imortality})

You all can go ahead and take this idea and make your own variations. Though I'd like some feedback and ideas please

Modern. Or budget legacy. But I'm leaning towards modern

Just so everyone knows, this isn't supposed to be a copy of eggs. It will be something completely original

Sure. But the concept is the deck uses lots and lots of math through the games

It doesn't have to be complicated math. It could be simple math too. Or Math-y cards

have tons of 0 cost artifacts that give you mana to ramp into  {Clock of Omens} and then  {Gilded Lotus} sense most of the artifacts in you deck have a cmc of 0 you should have plenty by now so you can use clock to untap lotus several times giving you the mana to cast  {Enter the Infinite} cast the rest of your 0 cost artifacts and then  {Grapeshot}! How does that sound?

possibly. With all those 0 cost artifacts, you have lots of stuff to tap to untap stuff

I suppose so but  {Grapeshot} would probrobly be more efficient.

seems like a wonderful idea, not too expensive either.... this could help someone get in to modern as a gateway, but i wonder about problems getting your deck to be there. on the flip side though it wouldnt even need land neccesarily

If you want you can make your own version of the deck

Could run 4 {mox opal} with citadels, any free artifacts, and any with affinity for artifact like {frogmite}. Are there any 0drop mana producers?

You could easily build a green black deck around this some cards are.
{Disciple of the Vault}
{Moriok Rigger}
{Fangren Marauder}
And  {Molder Beast}

thats kinda the point. As a peaceful protest against the banning of eggs to show them how ridiculous it is. And it shouldn't just be black. I need more ideas for my own version of "math is fun"

I think I'm going {G}{U} with my version

I'm thinking full colorless, really mess with everyone! Tron lands, fattie artifacts that nobody likes, ad then a couple crucial winmore cards to focus on?

I posted my version in legacy. It's unfinished however, because I didn't want just this to set he idea for the archetype. It is somewhat similar though. Just in different colors. It's in USA

thank you. I was hoping for many versions of the idea and this along with what I posted in legacy provides a little diversity. Anyway, lets try to make every version broken
