I feel this deck is a bit too slow for modern. Maybe add ramp or lower your mana curve?

Take out a  {Master Biomancer} and add one more  {Vorel of the Hull Clade} so you have an extra one in case the other dies.

I was thinking about that, but {Master Biomancer} is really helpful, especially with cards like {Cytoplast Manipulator}, {Cytoplast Root-Kin}, {Simic Manipulator}, and {Prime Speaker Zegana}

I'd vote against that.  Vorel is super slow, but {Master Biomancer} lets your others come out huge.  I personally don't like Vorel that much.

I agree. Vorel seems too slow for any competitive play if we look at modern's speeds.  Maybe if his ability doubled the amount of counters. Consider {Cytoplast Manipulator} to steal their creatures?

Vorel adds a counter for every counter already on it, so it effectively doubles the counters, any types of counters on it! He's kind of cool.

Vorel adds a counter for every counter already on it, so it effectively doubles the counters, any types of counters on it! He's kind of cool.

Isn't it counting each counter type?  Like charge counter, filibuster, +1/+1, etc, not doubling the existing?

No, it doubles the number of counters of each type of counter. It isn't proliferate, it doubles them.

I don't really like {Unexpected Results}. It's easy to "whiff" and pay 4 mana or a 1-3 drop. For some reason I want to say {Thrun the Last Troll}, but I don't think he'd fit the counter-ness of the deck.  But I like him as a target to boost.

I'm not sure how much can be done save for adding evasion like {Spectral Flight} or maybe {Plasm Capture}... Anybody have better ideas?

Against weenie decks you could try  {Sapphire Drake} in the sideboard and  {Crowned Ceratok} to run them over. I usually play standard so I'm not sure if there is a better modern version, but they seem to fit with your deck theme.

Also in regards to your deck tech, you mentioned using the  {Progenitor Mimic} to copy a creature with an insane amount of counters on it.
This is from the rules on that card (FYI)

4/15/2013   If the chosen creature has {X} in its mana cost (such as Protean Hydra), X is considered to be zero.

Ie. It won't copy the counters, and the hydra will enter as a 0/0. However  {Master Biomancer} may save him :)

Dang it. Well, thanks anyway! I didn't know that! I think I will keep him in though, in cases like Craterhoof and Biomancer
