I'd vote against that. Vorel is super slow, but {Master Biomancer} lets your others come out huge. I personally don't like Vorel that much.

I don't really like {Unexpected Results}. It's easy to "whiff" and pay 4 mana or a 1-3 drop. For some reason I want to say {Thrun the Last Troll}, but I don't think he'd fit the counter-ness of the deck. But I like him as a target to boost.

Against weenie decks you could try {Sapphire Drake} in the sideboard and {Crowned Ceratok} to run them over. I usually play standard so I'm not sure if there is a better modern version, but they seem to fit with your deck theme.
Also in regards to your deck tech, you mentioned using the {Progenitor Mimic} to copy a creature with an insane amount of counters on it.
This is from the rules on that card (FYI)
4/15/2013 If the chosen creature has {X} in its mana cost (such as Protean Hydra), X is considered to be zero.
Ie. It won't copy the counters, and the hydra will enter as a 0/0. However {Master Biomancer} may save him :)
