Traded a {bonfire of the damned} for 2 {drowned catacombs} and 3 {dreadbores}. Sent first as I was relatively new in trading, he said he didnt remeber if he got them and then that he had been away for the weekend, has yet to reply since that.
Recieved, slightly different than agreed but within acceptable bounds
I traded a {Huntmaster of the Fells} a {Bonfire of the Damned} a {Garruk, Primal Hunter} and a {Woodland Cemetery}. He never sent his end and he doesn't reply to my PM's, even though he still goes online. The trade was established as a trade back on 3/29

Let's see how it goes down keeping in mind that it is CONFIRMED that this is his second account. I would just like to leave the possibility open to a clean slate mentality.

This being his other account is the issue. I deleted the app because my lady friend said I was spending to much time on it. When I decided to re-download the app I realized I didn't know my password. However, the password and username that I attempted the second time I tried to log in worked just not for the right account. I then remembered making a first account back in January and then forgetting about it. Then when I actually started avidly using this app I made that second account unaware of the first one. A few days ago when i accidentally logged on to the app with the first account, I realized it would be a good way to get a clean slate. I never intended not to send anything to the pending people I had the trades with, but I wanted a new name that wasn't seeming to be tainted. This was wrong and I claim full responsibility for it, however, everyone's trades will get to them. From now on, I would like to be known as therobsta12, because that is usually my username/Gamertag that I use for everything. One problem I see with it is it makes him super vulnerable to being scammed himself. I was on the receiving end of this, but I think maybe having him use the middle man program might be a good neutral option that won't get him completely screwed if somebody else comes along and does this.

Thanks for the consideration man, however, what do you mean by you were on the receiving end of this? I never intended to steal from anyone or scam people..if that was my intention then I would have successfully done it and been gone by now. I have never bot sent someone there cards, all my current trades are in the mail and all my previous are successful. This is why I am on the trusted traders list at least 3 times, just wanted to point this out. I believe that punishment is necessary for my crime, however, I believe you are going about doing so in the wrong way.
As far as any punishment goes, I think we need to wait until everyone gets their cards. This will remain stickied at least until this happens. While some sort of punishment will have to be dealt, if everyone gets their cards, he shouldn't be punished for stealing.
If everyone could update their posts when they get their cards, it would be appreciated, and very helpful.

Ok got half my trade with him it's wierd because one of the cards should have been a g township but he sent a ash zealot and an extra buck instead which the ash is worth more so I think he's trying to make up for the mixup I guess so I'm indifferent to his trade I guess I needed the other card more but he didn't rip me off.

Now, under iMtG Law: no victim, no crime. Without a crime, there's no need for punishment. The next thing I would like to do is determine victims. Any punishment is going to be held off until everyone gets their cards (as I'm sure this will influence who feels victimized), but nonetheless I'd like to get this wrapped up as soon as possible.
Cal and Kareason: Based on your responses, am incorrect in assuming you do not feel victimized by Therobsta's actions?
To those who havent received their cards yet, i would also appreciate your input. Whether or not you feel like a victim will determine what happens here. You may post on this thread, or pm me if you want to keep it private. Either way, I'd like to know how you guys feel about all this.

Was I happy with the whole situation? Nope. But I'm a big fan of trying to let people overcome mistakes when they show a real attempt to make right. I am holding no grudge nor reservation about a future trade possibility. I have told him this as well. As I said, clean slate. He is offering to self-impose an "I send first" probation. Good enough for me.

I'm not happy abought not getting the stuff we agreed to but he didn't rip me off. so would I trade with him again? the answer is no, but I'm cool with the send first probation being enforced other than that I don't see a need for any other action till others feel safe with sending him stuff again.

Ok so I'm starting to see a patern here I think it was a good call on the mods this guy was up to something and I think he got spoked b4 he went through with it. As a steady trader I would make him send first for as long as he is on this site.

Thanks Cal, I really appreciate it. I'm just trying to do my part in keeping the community happy and safe.
As for making him permanently send first I have one problem with this: It makes him a really easy target for people to steal his cards.
Of course, at the moment he is imposing a "I will send first" policy on himself, which is fine. If he is innocent here (which as people are mostly getting their trades, it would seem), then forcing him to send first would make it real easy for scammers to just drop by and steal his cards. While I think punishment should be enacted, I don't think making him a sitting duck is the right way to go.
Maybe making his trades public, and having one at a time would be a better way to go, or something to that effect.
As of right now, I believe he is sending first, and until we can figure out the depth of what all has happened, his send first policy will do. Again, we still have one or two trades (I believe) that are still waiting to be completed, so we'll wait and see how it goes.
Once everything is done, I will talk with the other mods, and based on that, plus the input of the community, we will decide on an appropriate punishment for what has happened here. I apologize if it seems like its taking a while, but I do not want to dish out punishment without knowing everything that happened (since there are still pending trades).
Im still waiting on a trade from him. It was finalized on April 8th and I have not gotten his end yet.

We don't have to go that far. You should be able to trade if you want to.
We just need to come up with a situation where:
1) You can still trade safely.
2) Everyone else can trade with you, and not worry
3) Everyone agrees on how 1 and 2 come to be.
It's tricky, but I believe we can work this out so everyone's happy with the outcome. If you decide to not trade anymore, its your right, but I wouldn't want you to give that up if a better course of action can be taken.

Jackson received his end 2 days ago, he pm'd me
I still have not gotten my card from boyesrobert/therobsta12 yet. We finalize on April 8th, and he says he sent the last of his trades out on the 15th, almost two weeks ago.
I have still not received my card and its been three weeks. I've now completed THREE trades since this incident and all three came in in a timely fashion. I have given out my own punishment in the form of a -1 and am dropping this altogether. I highly encourage people I make this user send first.
Sorry to hear that, Mike. I have posted a link to this thread on his user page, and as nobody has spoken as a victim, I will not deal out any further punishment. I will unsticky this when/if Mike gets his cards, or after another week or so has passed.

I recently received his end. It was incredibly slow, but it got here!
We agreed on a trade may 1st, and he agreed to send first.
I sent 2-3 pms asking if cards were sent.
May 19th I said if I did not receive cards by end of day or at least a response, I would consider the trade canceled (he had signed on within the days of not getting a response).
May 21 I get a msg simply saying "I did"
I received his end I believe the 24th, post marked may 20th. Marked it as return to sender and sent back.
I've waited 3 weeks before, and I'm ok with it of there's some communication along the way, but there was none here.
Anyone else having trade issues with him?

There's a ton of warnings. Trading on here is already "at your own risk." We can't do anything more than say "Quit trading if you don't want to potentially lose your stuff" (not saying people should quit trading, just saying we can't really do any more than what we've done) We've warned the public, so if they want to follow through with the trade, go for it. If you don't want to risk it, don't.
