no. You only had 1 alchemist. You only blocked with one alchemist. And I only see 1 alchemist ever be played in this thread. The deleted post was a fog bank. You can't pair it to two creatures

that gives you infinite mana, I blew that axe bane up, and it repaired with your other axebane
And you can't soulbound to 2 creatures. Plus, doorkeeper was already in play, so you can't soulbound with it anyway

I had 2
I a third party went through and counted the alchemists and I counted 1
I had one on the field in the begging which he used prey upon but then took back then I played a second when I played axebane guardian
Even so. Soulbound triggers when a creature enters the battlefield
So you can only pair the one you played
And it can only be with the creature or from the creature that enters
When either that creature or anther enters the battlefield
But it must target either the creature that entered, or be targeting from the creature that entered. You can play a soul bound with a soulbound on the field and pair one to the one of your choice, and the one on the battlefield to something already on the battlefield

you can only pair the soulbound that was already on the battlefield with something that comes into play under your control. Your cant pair a soulbound on the battlefield with something already on the battlefield
Yes you can click on galvanic alchemist and read soul bond
"You can pair this creature with an unpaired creature WHEN EITHER enters the battlefield"
Word for word what it says
Yes and one did
Quote from: Bonesword on April 18, 2013, 09:20:09 PM

but you can't pair the one that's on the battlefield unless its to the creature that entered the battlefield

can he soulbound something on the battlefield to something already on the battlefield when a creature with soulbound enters the battlefield?
After extensively reading this game bonesword did have 2 alchemists out
But you can only soulbound when either enters the battlefield. Not when anything enters

can he soulbound something on the battlefield to something already on the battlefield when a creature with soulbound enters the battlefield?
It depends on what he's trying to soulbond to what. Can I get a description of the play in question? Trying to read through this is a bit difficult. If you could describe what happened I can help settle this.
I'm not any good at rulings so ill leave the rulings to keyeto
He had a {galvanic alchemist} and {door keeper} and {axebane guardian} already in play. He tried to pair the first alchemist to the doorkeeper when the second entered the battlefield
Yeah he wouldn't have been able to do that, it's logical to me

Alright then, thanks for the breakdown. The first alchemist would not be able to be paired to the door keeper. The second one can pair to whatever it wants, but the first one had its chance. The only way a non-paired soulbond creature (the first alchemist in thjs case) can pair with another creature once its on the battlefield, is another creature entering the battlefield, in which they can pair with THAT creature.
Here's a ruling, to help clear things up a bit:
702.93a Soulbond is a keyword that represents two triggered abilities. "Soulbond" means "When this creature enters the battlefield, if you control both this creature and another creature and both are unpaired, you may pair this creature with another unpaired creature you control for as long as both remain creatures on the battlefield under your control" and "
Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, if you control both that creature and this one and both are unpaired,
you may pair that creature with this creature for as long as both remain creatures on the battlefield under your control."
The part relevant to this situation has been bolded.
