I want to sit back and eat some popcorn while this goes down XD
Post what you believe is the best card in magic.
No rules, doesnt have to be standard.
Waaiiittt fffoooorrr ittttttt
GO!!!!
I'm quite fond of {Reanimate}. {Dark Ritual} is a close second.
{Island}
Ohhh the dark ritual.. Watched someone pull a turn 1 win off that last fnm, crazy .poo..
Island... Straight up, hands down lol
:-( why did i get a downvote for this thread? Supposed to be fun and someone had to go be a jerk about it.

Someone was trolling. I wouldn't sweat it. It happens from time to time and the mods will step in if it gets out of hand.
{Lightning Bolt} is up there.

{Lightning Bolt} is up there.
It's ok, but easily outclassed by bonfire imo.

Well...
{Bonfire of the Damned}, is more hype then usefulness is formats other then standard.
We all know that JTM is the best card, but I'll voice a different card for the purpose of variety.
I'll have to say, {Fastbond} :)

Not even fair lol
I'm going to toss in a vote for {Necropotence}. It had an entire summer named after it, and even the "anti-necropotence" decks couldn't beat it. The card is just a powerhouse.
{Shelkin brownie}. Sexy and useful.
{Goblin Dirigible}. Obviously.
For real though, I think that {Lightning Bolt} is as good as you can get.
For real the 5 best cards in magic ever printed are {Plains}, {Island}, {Swamp}, {Forest}, {Mountain}.

I agree. Without them you couldnt cast anything
No love for the power 9? {Black Lotus}? {Time Walk}?
Or if we're just not including those, just look at other ban lists. {Fastbond} and {Channel} come to mind.
{Black Lotus} is the most powerful card ever to be in magic its been proven also its why it is $5000, but my personal favorite of most powerful cards ever is {Force of Will}
{Squee, Goblin Nabob} ;)
But really, I'd have to say phyrexian cards such as {mutagenic growth} (god **** infect decks lol), {dark ritual}, {force of will}, anything allowing you to pop out a combo abnormally fast

That's why they are ineveryset.
{Norin The Wary}
Just try to destroy him.
Just try.
This just gave me an idea thx
{Assquatch} or maybe {Fat Ass} oh oh and I'll add a {Bad Ass} Oooh and {City of Ass} one last {Ass Whuppin'}
{Isochron Scepter} repeatable jerkiness.
{Gleemax}
do I even need to explain?
{Hedron Crab} :P

if you are playing casual, and you have a card that lets you play gleemax without paying its mana cost, or play it from your graveyard without playing its mana cost, you basically win the game, yes?

{Counterlash} on an artifact and play Gleemax fo free? I think yes
{gleemax} + {Mox Lotus}
yea, but counterlash is 9$ cheaper and costs 9 less mana :/
The 10 fetchlands
{Trained caracal}
{Doomed Traveler} is better
What about {Phage the Untouchable}
a 7 drop for 4? I think not, how about {Dark Depths}?

i can actually think of some uses for squee...anybody have him for trade?
I know! {Barktooth Warbeard}
Ok what about {Wild Nacatl}?
well if you run tri-color, 3/3 for 1? pretty sweet
{Wild Nacatl} with a {Sacred Foundry}
I'd like to see ANY of you beat {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn}, or the other Eldrazi, but Emrakul is beast mode.
{Withengar Unbound} is up there, also.

With that mana cost, they're only good in EDH, or decks where you can get them out very fast.
{Black Lotus}

My friend made a mana excell deck and could get Emrakul out usually on turn 5-7. I never saw him lose.

If it took him to t-5 to get spaghetti monster out and he still never lost he can't have played any decent players. Any strong deck can win in 3-4 turns. I mean unless he was playing some sort of ramp/control but even then....
Well, he went up against some pretty beast players, but he had rapid mana and a bunch of big things, but until then a few control/low drops until he could belt out the punishment, and Elbrus was only 7, which did not take him long.
