{Serra Avatar} ETB while {Trostani, Selesnya's Voice} is on the field.
Not infinite, but still a solid combo.
Let's say you're at 20 life. You drop Serra Avatar, the avatar is a 20/20 now. Then you gain 20 life because of Trostani's ability. Now the avatar is a 40/40. The P/T change will not set off another trigger from Trostani, as the Avatar had already set that ability off when it ETB. The trigger has already resolved, and will not go off again because of the power change.

Of course you could add a {Rhox Faithmender} or {Cloudshift} on a {Isochron Scepter}.
{Rhox Faithmender} gives you 60 rather than 40. And a 60/60.
The other would give you even more life and P/T.
Pair the avatar with a {deadeye navigator} and you get {1}{U}: double your life total

Pair {Serra Avatar} with {Nearheath Pilgrim} with {Rhox Faithmender} on the field :)

Progenitor Mimic is a new Simic card from DGM. It enters as a copy of any creature on the battlefield and makes token copies of itself on each of your upkeeps.
So doing that with the avatar while Trostani is out would double your life on each of your turns.
Lol then sac it to {Feed the Pack}. gaining none life!
To improve on {Trostani, Selesnya's Voice}, cast {Cackling Counterpart} on the angel, populate said angel.
