has anyone here participated in/ran a cube draft? I'm curious because I'm building my own cube and would like to see what people think about the format
What the heck is cube?

it surprises me how few people know about cube drafting :(
Cube drafting is the cheapest method of playing period. Infinite variety. You choose the card pool. It's a great way to play.

A friend of mine is thinking of building a cube - any "must-include" cards you can recommend?
From what I've chatted with people about, it's usually best to do UC an Cs with maybe a few rares, you want everything to balance out
I feel like this is what I'll do with my collection after I make my (4) edh decks and standard decks (2 Max I promise myself) ala trades.
Always enjoy the idea of having a card pool usable for a group to make a game night out of
Some of the must haves are {Baneslayer Angel}, {Show and Tell}, {Sol Ring}, {Ansestrial Visions}, {AEtherling}, {Dark Confidant}, Sword cycle, reanimator, Big three Eldrazi, {Progenitus}, {Natural Order}, {Wall of Blossoms}, {Lightning Bolt}, {Griselbrand}, {Gifts Ungiven}, {Demonic Tutor}, {Silverblade Palidin}, {Akroma} (White one), etc...
How you build your cube depends on the playgroup preference. Ask people what they like to play, and build a cube that fits everyone's needs. Except for dredge...
The above cards were in my friends cube and are his preference. Play what you want, but these cards are fun. :)
Id say Wish Cards for the cube
That could be really interesting if you don't exhaust your cube on a draft
If you wan to make it fun, add {Scrambleverse} type effects.
IMO cube drafts are difficult to get right. I have participated in two...both bad experiences. It takes some one that really knows what they are doing. Some friends and I have tried a " common cube draft" that was the most fun. Every match was messy and weird.😝
I'm over building a cube. A friend at the LGS made one, so I can participate and draft but not have to look at my collection and get anxiety of how to make it hAppen

Boooo. You should make a stasis/ chalice of the void cube
In chube do you have like only rares in a pile and pick up 15 or do you take 15 cards and have 10 commons 3 uncommons a rare and a land and do that 24-36 times
Nope, you make packs, then draft.
By packs, I mean you shuffle cards, then put them face down into usually 6 piles of 10-13
