Title: Furnace Dragon
Post by: XFatal on February 21, 2012, 12:37:01 PM
So I was playing against my friend yesterday, my dragons against his artifacts.

I played my {Furnace Dragon}, which would be great against his deck.

He in turn, attempted to counter it. I forgot the name of he card, but it read "counter target spell that targets a permanent you control". Now, would he be able to do that, since I technically didn't target anything? I'm usually right about these things, since I don't think he can, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks!

He probably tried to counter your dragon with {Turn Aside}, which he can't. {Furnace Dragon}'s effect is global, it isn't targeting anything.
