Any advice? Going to the guard tower in Columbus Ohio.

If youre drafting GTC, be very wary of what colors you draft. Esper is awful in limited, boros an gruul generally dominate, orzhov has a chance with the right cards, dimir is poop. Simic generally holds the middle spot at my lgs, never wins never loses

How'd you like it there at guard tower? I don't care for guard tower myself, I didn't click with the players and environment there. Nothing against the place at all, it just wasn't for me. I play at The Soldiery on High street and Henderson, and like it there so much better - check it out some time! The people there are super diverse (from ages to attitudes to you name it) so finding people to hang with is easy. the owner and co-owner are awesome, as long as you're on their good side ;) Also check out Fog of Dusk on Kenny and Bethel, good people there and the owner is a really good guy.

Be wary of Comic Town, I hear many of the regulars there have been known to cheat.

Hope you had fun at your first draft, fellow Columbus-er!

I really enjoyed my first draft, the guard tower was a decent environment. Everyone there was very nice and helped you out with any question you had. Pretty laid back, the players weren't super competitive and they were easy to talk to (there were a few complete opposite). I went 1 and 3 in my first draft, I felt my drafted deck was good it just happened that I was not getting the lands I needed. My friend took 5th out of the 27 people for his first draft and we are both hooked now. I defiantly have been meaning to check out the soldiery and maybe the next draft I do will be up there.
