Title: Selling.
Post by: Mothaelon on April 10, 2013, 01:00:07 AM
Thinking of selling some of my cards. In a tight spot for money and even though I'm gonna hate myself for it, I just really need the money.

I just don't know if I can actually come to terms of doing it >.> bah, I'm being such a child about this.

Would it be hard for any of you to give up some of your most prized cards/possessions?

Yep!  My mom actually has a box under her bed with two or three stuffed animals that I loved as a kid. I just couldn't let go of them. I'd still be pissed if they ended up gone.

As for more recent things, I wouldn't be able to get rid of my computer (classes, YouTube, games, iMtG), the {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn} that I bought when I first started getting into mtg, and the promo {Wurmcoil Engine} I was given as a gift.  I don't really know why those cards have so much meaning to me haha

I really treasure my cards too. Well the expensive ones worth selling anyways. Yea they are just cards, but after building decks and winning with them, you grow attached. Plus, it's an endless cycle, once I get out of this rough patch, I'll just buy more cards. Argh, decisions.

Stay away from LGSs. The value they offer is pretty much nothing. Selling cards like  {Snapcaster Mage} or any dual lands will retain decent value on eBay
I found selling repacks with a 1 in 50 containing a dual land from revised a great way to get rid of the homelands collection that was adopting dust bunnies.
