So we've had a few huge board hitters like {Avacyn, Angel of Hope} and {Griselbrand} just to name a few, so why hasn't there been a new frites deck constructed?

Haven't you seen the frites decks that were popping up with RtR?
An {Angel of Glory's Rise} humanator thing top 8'd the GTC PT. Not really frites, but it's a reanimator-style build.
