I just started playing magic and u don't understand how to play a card that has shares colors. I looked it up and couldn't find it.
I would love to help if you asked a question. What is the card or what is the problem that has occurred?
I'll use {Mortify} as an example. You have to tap mana that will provide one {B}, one {W}, and any one of your choice.
Is that what you were talking about?
For these such as {Avatar of Discord}. The {RB} can be played with either {R} or {B}.

A card like {Unmake} or like {Obzedat, Ghost Council}
With unmake you can choose either white or black (if there was colorless it could be any color like {Shattering Blow}) with Obzedat it has to 2 black, 2 white, and one mana of any color
