Over on the thread "Possibilities" in Ideas and Feedback, we've been discussing means of a community draft. This is how it would work:
1. We draft as a community, voting on picks.
2. We build a deck out of the cards that we pick.
Pretty simple, right?
This thread will be used to gauge interest level and to "vote" on the sets we should do. Like Innistrad? What about "battlecruiser Magic" Rise of the Eldrazi? Have a knack for old Ravnica drafts?
My only problem is that I have no idea how to "draft" like this over a long period. Sure, there are draft programs real-time, but not like this. I encourage any of you to speak up and tell me how to do this.
IMHO I would only be interested in drafts that I could actually take part in. So anything not being sold at your local store with mass quantities wouldn't spark much interest to me.

We will be doing this draft online, using a simulator.
It sounds fun and I think it could really benefit to see other players draft picks to learn how to pick better when drafting
Ill bite

Seconded.
I have never drafted before nor am I sure I know what to do, but I'm definitely in!
I too could help with learning how to draft better.
I've tried the wotc simulator on their website, and by looking at the forums after I do, I tend to build substantially different decks than other people.
Sometimes that's good, but sometimes I really underestimate how good a card can be combined with others I have already chosen. (ie poor choices)
So you have my interest. :)
I am Not Good At drafting but count me in
Not much draft experience, but everyone has to start one day, right?
If u get this rollin' I'm in.
I'll see what I can do, then.
Aside: I ran an online draft today with a draft simulator and in cockatrice.

Cockatrice is a computer program that allows you to playtest games of Magic.
Ahhhh, thanks man. Might have to bother my brother for his laptop for that.

I will. You draft using a draft sim, by the way.
Sounds fun! Would be great for people who are new to draft
I'll see if I can get this going in the next week or two.
