If mtg added a new color, what color would it be and what characteristics would it have?
No
To expand on that, I dont believe they ever will or ever should do this. However let your creativity flow if you feel inclined.
they never will do it.
It doesn't make sense to even attempt to added one.
Someone is butt hurt.
I think you guys are missing the point.
If they added something like grey, I reckon it'd be industry-related. Machinery, technology and so on. Modern age stuff. I think that'd be cool.

So artifacts and machines..? Which is grey already lol

Mabye colorless cards slipped your mind.
I went onto a card making program, and there was a mana symbol that perplexed me. It was known as "Chaos" and I was wondering what it is. Anybody know what it is?
Perhaps Orange for greed / avarice per "Agent Orange" in Green Lantern Corps?

Which is already associated with blue and black already. The issue is, there is no "association" which isn't already covered by the other colors. There is no design space left.

Mmm. I have to agree with this one.. There doesnt seem to any room left
What if they made a colorless basic lands.
Mostly because it would be easier to make an artifact commander deck.
What about purple? Its all about love and having a good time? Yall are nofun
Guys, there's a reason this was posted in the Fun Stuff section. No need to shoot down the man's thread.
If they ever make Unicorns a creature type, they'd have to make purple into a color on the color pie. Just because. Characteristic? Majestic. That's all you need.

Great minds, my friend.
Purple. Between Blue and Black. Time Magic. Read more here. (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/feature/386) Also, it won't ever happen. 5 is the perfect amount of colors.

Birdbrain on the assist - Barry's Land. You can read about the struggle to make colorless basic lands here (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/mm/25)
In a side note, more of you should read Mark Rosewater's Daily MTG posts and his blog. (http://markrosewater.tumblr.com)
I think they could do Barry's land with an enchant land card. I think that solves all the problems they've been having, but I could be wrong
How bout pink... It's already been mentioned on a card lol
I want barry's land. Then again, if they used the incursion form of the land, some domain things could become very, VERY broken... :)
I like cave though, I want a colorless basic land. :/
Make incursion zone a legendary land. No more possibility of +4 basic land types. Thatd be cool. I also like cave a lot
I think to go back and errata a bunch of cards so we can have colorless basic lands isn't worth the misery it could cause.
Purple mana on the other hand, that would have been cool to try for 1 set.
Edit: if you missed my previous post.

Ok I got lost reading that one... Please explain that in terms an idiot would understand. :)
Domain is an ability word. It appears in italics at the beginning of an ability that counts the number of basic land types among lands you control. (An ability word has no rules meaning.) Domain abilities first appeared in the Invasion block, although the word "domain" didn't appear on those older cards.
See:
{Aven Trailblazer}
{Matca Rioters}
{Wandering Goblins}
{Spore Burst}
{Drag Down}
{Might of Alara}
{Manaforce Mace}
WotC before the brought in plainswalkers where considering making another colour, (purple) but put the planeswalkers into magic instead, and made colourless the final colour,
Or more accurate lack of colour!!!

Thats some interesting history.
Actually if you look at any card that says "choose a colour" none of them actually specify that it has to be one of the five, so technically you could take something like {rainbow crow} and have it become orange, or brown, etc.
The rules specify that if that phase is used on a card then you only have 5 choices you can make, the colors currently in magic.

Really? I got negative karma for this comment?
I didn't mean it to kibosh this thread. I'm saying, the fatal flaw with adding another colors is that the other attributes are already taken by other colours... Thanks...

{Prized Unicorn} {Regal Unicorn} {Zebra Unicorn} {Adarkar Unicorn}
Unicorns are already white. With a splashing green and blue here and there.
