Okay my friend had a lazav dimir mastermind in play the starter milling me with other stuff so. My angel of serenity went into graveyard. He then used lazav to copy it. Will he still exile 3 cards as it says lazav's name is still its own and angel of serenity text says when angel of serenity enters battlefield. But the name is not copied. So is the lazav now angel of serenity without the name able to exile the cards.
Well, here's the thing. When a card says its own name like in {Angel of Serenity}s ability text, it means "this card." So {Lazav, Dimir Mastermind} would indeed copy that ability, and the text would change to "When Lazav enters the battlefield..." However, Lazav is not re-entering the battlefield. He's already on it, just changing clothes. So the ability will not trigger.
