State some stories that happened to you or someone you know that is beyond the natural. I'll start . I've dreamt of people I know that will die and after several days they died. Happened twice already. And I'm always dreaming that I'm already awake but I'm not I can see everything in my room my mind is open but my body can't move, I'm shouting but no voice is coming out. Does this happen to some of you guys? State your stories.
I've had several paranormal experiences. For four years, I lived in four or five different houses that were in a historical district in my town. Buildings from the 1920's. Tons of history in the houses. I've seen shadow people, heard voices, creaking in the middle of the night, just that "creepy feeling" almost on a daily basis. Once I awoke at 3 in the AM to someone beating down my door. It was a guy dressed in Depression Era clothes asking if someone was there. It was the most bizarre and terrifying thing I've ever experienced. I could go on for hours about this.
Holy s^^t that is creepy dude! They say 3 am is the witching hour.
The part about being awake but not being able to move or speak is called Old Hag's Syndrome. Medically it is referred to as Sleep Paralysis.
Beyond that, the house I used to live in was haunted. It is build on land that used to be a 1900's era family graveyard. The bodies were moved decades ago. There was an old man in dunguree overalls and a tunic-style homespun shirt that I used to see. Wouldn't tell people about it and would only admit it once they said something first. I had at least a dozen people see it. I was never worried since he never really did anything, just walked around and shut/lock doors. I have seen some other things that would take too long to discribe here, some of which freaked me out.
I've never experienced anything malevolent before. But thats not to say i never got freaked out hahah. Probably the scariest thin ive ever seen was shadow people. There was a ton of paranormal stuff going on in that particular house. I would be home alone and hear people (plural, not just one) walking around. First time it happened was when I was taking a shower. Called out and no one answered but I could still hear it. I was paralyzed. I locked myself I the bathroom until a roommate got home hahah. I would wake up at least three times a week in the middle of the night from someone talking in my ear.
Another house I lived in just always gave me bad vibes. It was fine if my roomies were there but if I was home alone, especially at night, I couldn't get comfortable. I would usually stay in my room and not come out. One of the roommates slipped into mild depression for no reason while living there. He's convinced it had everything to do with the house. He got out of it almost immediately after we moved out.

Holy . I'd have burned the damn house down when I left.
My friend lives in a pretty old house and he's talked about coming home and seeing people in his bedroom window before. I've actually been sitting in his room looking at the tv or something and this little ball jumped out of the corner of the room and landed on me while I was the only one in the room. I kinda just looked at it and went "Welp, time to go back downstairs!" lol

XD I recently moved into this house, and my room is under the attic. A lot of nights i here a constant tapping coming from the roof. I thought it was just rats but now its moved to boxes being shifted and light voices.
One of my other hobbies is paranormal investigation. My group of friends and i have investigated some pretty cool places that have been featured on ghost hunters and other tv shows like the uss hornet, and Preston castle. We've done a few other local places which were pretty cool. I will type out a few experiences from them someday when I can sit down in front of a desktop because anything longer than a few sentences makes me want to chuck my phone.
Got into some nasty things as a teen with a ouija board. Long story short, seriously do not play with those things, they are the furthest thing from a toy.

There's quite a few abandoned places here. It's become such a "problem" of people going to investigate inside them that the city has decided to tear them all down. It kind of sucks.

same thing happened to my nephew, he was eating alone in their kitchen then suddenly a tiny glowing ball appeared in front of him and disappeared and he ran to our house after. Haha!
When I was a kid, I saw Abe Lincoln standing on the edge of my pool, and I thought "This is the coolest ghost sighting ever!" Then I woke up :( lol
Some strange force has moved this topic into a forum where this topic is not relevant!!!!!
MODS MODS!
Sorry for going completely off topic, but I have noticed tons of threads getting moved, and while I understand some, how in the world does this belong in pull and ponies? I mean the header for general disscusion is "Anything and everything" right? Just confuses me. /offtopic
It belongs here. One of the reasons pulls and ponies was created was to give a home to threads that are really random and fall outside of the "normalcy" of general discussion and chat.
There is a method to the madness ;)
As for the topic itself, I've always been curious about this kind of stuff and it's various causes. The closest thing I've had to a paranormal experience is how eerily often it happens that I think of a movie or tv episode line or quote, and later that day that episode will air. Nothing spectacular, but happens often enough for me to have noticed it (like, once a week).
But my approach is mental - it's all brain chemistry in my opinion. I've studied a lot of abnormal psychology. Even a healthy brain is capable of fooling us into believing some crazy stuff that never happened. But, this is simply my opinion.

That is sort of why it interests me too Gorzo. I hold a couple of science degrees and spend my wage-slave time in the laboratory. My mind is dominated by logic and reason, and I am a skeptic by nature. That being said, that while I can't explain it or even know if it can be explained, I have seen it first hand. As I posted before, I have even had others tell me what they saw without any foreknowledge that it even existed. It's really exciting.
I'm a conventional degreed scientist as well (chemist), and now opened up to all things paranormal and metaphysical once I arrived at my own theory that the hard science behind all consciousness and self-awareness is in the subatomic, and that all things subatomic are capable of storing consciousness.
In fact, it was my interest in oracle cards and their forerunners, tarot cards, that are partially what brought me back to Magic the Gathering after 15 years away. I no longer believe that randomization is what it purports to be, but rather that the attempt to randomize is actually an invitation to receive metaphysical information. Therefore, I fully expect to have paranormal experiences through playing Magic and working the cards.
How's that for bringing back to topic? Anyone want to report paranormal experiences directly connected to their Magic cards? That would be fascinating.
Casual game with a bro and he plays {Storm Crow}. The air started feeling heavy and tasted metallic. I mouthed "what have you done" as the smell of burnt ozone permeated the room. My two dogs began howling, however it grew distorted and began to sound like a cacophony of demons laughter and women screaming. The card began glowing and a pentagram formed underneath it. All grew quite until a soft whisper spoke "For using something so powerful, your souls are now mine." Needless to say my bro won that match.

Me and a friend put her Christmas tree up two years ago and afterwards took a picture of it on a disposable camera. When we got the photos developed all of the candy canes on the tree were hanging upside down. The most creeped out I've ever been.

Seeing things in pictures that shouldn't be there is awesome. It always gives me chills. I don't really know why, but it really creeps me out. I love being creeped out by things though lol
^lol
But ive seen the same car with the same man driving ovee the course of months, not every day but when i see him its 3-4 times minimum. And a car that looks the same has been parked in my neighborhood for days at a time with noone in it, and in very stranged spots(i.e. directly inside a side entrance, hundreds of feet from any house.) also i have seen a man standing whilst driving, then seen the same man standing further along my drive.
I was walking to my house in at like 7:00 pm but it was in the winter so it was dark outside. A truck came down the street towards me them stopped at the curb and turned its lights off. It was about 70 feet in front of me. I walked really slowly towards it because I did not want someone to jump out and attack me or something like that ;) Anyway as I neared the truck I was that nobody was inside it so I peeked in the window to see if they were leaning down and there was no-one. It was a truck with seats only in the front also so there was no place for someone to be hiding. I then proceeded to run home.

Why all the storm crow hate? I see a lot
He's a huge power creep for one, he changes the board state the second he enters and that's on turn two, imagine if you cheated him out sooner! {Perish the Thought}!
