Uses the  {Intruder Alarm} and  {Thraben Doomsayer} infinite token combo after keeping the field clear to deal damage. I've never built a control deck before, so i think its safe to assume that I need a lot of help.

I really want to play this in modern but refine it a bit. What's currently the most effective counterspell in modern, do you know?

Idk  {Remand} is good, effectively a time walk? I don't know if this is the deck for it though. Remand for janky combo protection hardly sounds like a good idea.

Seems like a good card, but the $$$ is a bit much. I could pay $.67 for a counterspell or $8.00 for a remand. In my attempts to keep this inexpensive, I will learve it out, but it does seem like a pretty sweet card.

For you I would play mana leak over syncopate, unless it is an all star in testing.
Also if I was you I would play like 3 preordain over think twice. Split it like 3 preordain, 2 think twice. Hmm I need to look more at the list to say what else to take out for the 3rd preordain.

Move two timely reinforcements to the board, and pull a thraban doomsayer and a pillar of flame for 4x swords to plowshares or path to exile.

You're going to get eaten alive by board wipe after you lay intruder alarm and make all your 1/1's play a 2 of {Slayers' Stronghold} over 1 plains and that non basic that you have. Or at least play Boros charm to make your .poo. indestructible you just need to watch out for the wrath spells.
