Title: Sword and Planeswalker
Post by: Antirayman on February 28, 2013, 05:20:19 PM
I control a planeswalker and my opponent attacks the planeswalker with a creature equiped with Sword of Feast and Famine.
The sword dosen't trigger, right?

No, since he damaging the Plainswalker, let's say  {Chandra, the Firebrand} for example, and not doing any damage to you, your opponent won't recieve the swords effect.

damaging a PW is not the same as damaging a player even though technically a PW is a player. so any effects saying when "x" deals combat damage to a player do "y" don't trigger

I can only see this being true for combat damage. Because a judge ruled in favor of me when I used  {Rakdos's Return} and redirected the damage to his PW but he still had to discard the cards.
