Title: Pets
Post by: Silent1236 on February 27, 2013, 07:10:13 PM
So what kind of animals do the good folk of iMtG keep?  My dog is a 7 year old Italian Greyhound and I've got a 75 gallon fish tank with just a handful of fish in it.

I just think it's interesting to see what pets people have.  Some people keep some strange things sometimes ;)

A gerbil, a toad, an 11 year old Alaskan Husky, and a cat named Little Bastard. 'Cause he is. Figuratively and literally.

I have a 5-year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi (looks like a Pokémon) and a 7???-year old Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu/Whatever puppy mill dog. They're both rescues.

The Lhasa I don't know anything about, she was bred at a puppy mill and has pretty bad skeletal deformation and trust issues. She's deathly afraid of pretty much everything.

The corgi is Mr. Adventure.

Edit: I was going to adopt a Greyhound. My roommate at the time had a child, and the adoption agency told me that sometimes the decommissioned Greyhounds act funny around kids because they have never interacted with them before. So that got rid of that plan. Maybe next time.

An 8 year old golden Labrador who is the sweetest dog I've ever known, and she's fotunately beaten her 2 bouts with cancer.

I also have a very old (16 years) cat who follows me around more than the dog, and she yells at me...a lot. Is this what it's like to be married?

A six year old black lab that I adore named Ava, and a dog we watch for my girlfriend, probably 5 year old mutt with heavy pitbull undertones. They sniff my cards a lot but have this far only ruined an old island because they didn't see it

My friend and I used to just play on the floor when we didn't feel like clearing off the table, but my dog would run through while we were playing and mess with our cards.  Or, she would stand in between us, look at me, then just sit down because she would want to go outside.  Needless to say, we just started clearing off the table every time 

I'd love to do a marine tank, but damn it can get expensive!
