What cards were in your very first deck? Mine was a mono white with all one ofs. I can't remember most of what was in there but I know it included {Springjack Shepherd}, {Righteousness}, {Chastise}, {Goldenglow Moth}. Clearly I did not win many games.

I started with mono {B} singleton style like you, so I'd imagine {Doom Blade}, {Vampire Nighthawk}, and the likes. A lot of one of vampires and removal spells.
OH!!! It was the DotP {B} deck with {Ascendant Evincar}! I bought that and played around with it and changed it a bit.
My very first deck was the Angel part of the Divine vs Demonic duel decks. I still remember when I first laid eyes on the foil {Akroma, Angel of Wrath}. It was magical.
My first deck I made once I realized I could play more than one of each card (lol) was a white weenie equipment deck. {Kor Duelist}, {Armament Master}, {Loxodon Warhammer}, {Basilisk Collar}. Oh and a card that holds a special place in my heart: {Armored Ascension}.
I played an 80-90 card mono green deck. {Primeval Titan}, {Leatherback Baloth} and some elf ramp. Also mostly 1 of's.
It also had some infect cards in there, which led me to my second deck.
My first deck was {G} {W} and all I remember about was I had {Rhox} and for some reason a {Draco}.
Oh, {Armored Ascension} is a card I will forever love. I remember putting it on a {Venerable Monk} so many times for a killing blow. Thinking back, that deck wasn't very good, and was pretty much a bunch of angels I thought were cool, and life gain. Loved that deck though.
My first deck had {Trinket Mage}, {Squadron Hawk}, and {Elixir of Immortality}. I would loop squadron with elixir which was really powerful in my casual play group at the time
My first was a Red-White lifegain-burn deck, with a lot of land/artifact destruction and creature/player damage. Built largely around {Razia, Boros Archangel}.

{Dark Ritual}, {Hypnotic Specter}, {Black Knight}, {Terror}, {Royal Assasin}, {Sorceress Queen}, {Sengir Vampire}, {Bad Moon}, {Will-O'-The-Wisp}, {Drain Life}, {Hymn to Tourach}, etc... It was my first real deck back in 1994...:D

My first deck was a 3 color starter deck with {teneb the harvester} and jedit legendary mono green card can't remember what it was called exactly as the main cards it was actually really good after I got 10 packs consisting of ravnica, time spiral, and plainshift and modified it
the first deck i had was a mono white kor/artifact deck with {armored ascension} it wasn't too good then but I've since updated and evened out the important cards so that it can win pretty efficiently

I still use {Armored Ascension} in mono-white enchantments. Its a awesome card!
Mine was the Pulverize precon from Scourge. I forgot what exactly was in it. Probably a {shock} or two.

I ran the same thing, but I also had {Sinkhole}.
Arachnus Spinner ad stuff. First booster had {Furyborn Hellkite}.
But the real story is my friends' intro deck from scars. It had {Knight of the Reliquary} and {Sigil of the Empty Throne}, among other legacy playables.
My first was the R/W AVR intro deck, with {Zealous Conscripts}. I tweaked it a little bit, adding one-ofs like {Ajani Goldmane} and {Auriok Windwalker} for some reason? I remember having a lot of trouble getting it below 70 cards, let alone 60.
Technically, that deck is still around, though at this point, the only card that's survived all the revisions is {Plains}. I made it mono-white focusing on {Cathars' Crusade}, then splashed {B} for {Lingering Souls} and some other stuff, then made it Selesnya, and now it's my B/W/G token deck.
My first deck was a mono white flanking knight deck from time spiral. Funny thing is, I still have that knight deck. Even though it is almost completely revamped, I have some of the few originals in there.
My first deck was a B/R discard deck, casual.
I used {Demonic Tutor}, just one, that's all I had. Of course {Megrim}, {Mind Rot}, {Burning Inquiry} and alot of cards I would never use now lol.

Mine too! What the heck! Except mine had {Drudge Skeletons} and {Knight of Stromgald} and {Order of the Ebon Hand}.
Another early deck I built was mono red with {Jackal Pup}, {Ball Lightning}, {Cursed Scroll} and {Rathi Dragon} among others!

First deck was a G/W samurai enchantment deck from kamigawa
{no dachi} and {mothrider samurai} made a lot of my friends mad in casual play xD
My first deck was mono black. And was horrible just a hodge podge I cards really not knowing what I was doing. All the cards were from dark assenstion an M13. I got spanked all over the place. Then some good guys gave me a lot of advice.
My first deck was a mono black discarder. My favorite card is {Persecute}
My first homebrew deck was {G}{W} angels and fog. Being the deck building prodigy that I was, I just typed "mtg angel" in eBay and ordered one of each. I don't think I even bothered with 60 cards. I just kept putting in angels until I thought I had them all. Pair that with my tendency to underplay the value of land cards and you had a deck ready to storm the tournament boards!
My first deck was a black vampire deck with {Vampire Lacerator}, {Bloodghast}, and {Blace of the Bloodchief}.
When I first started playing Wizards had just finished the Urza block, so fellow friends hooked me up with a fun mono green deck with {Pouncing Jaguar}, {River Boa}, {Rancor}, {Yavimaya Enchantress}, and {Verduran Enchantress}, among other things.
Blue/Green infect. Looks a lot like Ari Lax's. My friends absolutely hate me when I break it open. And it's not even at its full potential yet :)
WAY back in the day my favorite deck was mono black with {Lord of the Pit}, {Breeding Pool}, and {Demonic Tutor}. Still love these cards, although they'll probably never get used again.
My friends and i played the same mono black deck back in the day, {dark ritual}, {hymn to tourach}, {sengir vampire}, {demonic tutor}, {black knight}, {hypnotic specter}, {drain life} those were some fun times...
