Title: Most successful weird deck?
Post by: MisterJH on February 26, 2013, 09:25:40 PM
Anyone know of some crazy unexpected decks that have won big championships? Like standard is flooded with {thragtusk} and such like basic archetypes, i want to know if there were any decks that were insane and made waves for their weirdness?

The weirdest deck that works well is burn at the stake , making tokens and mass mana to dig through your deck in a turn (colors vary, always uses red and blue, sometimes black and white)

I haven't used it in a tournament or anything, but I have a casual multiplayer deck that uses nothing but {Flickerwisp} type effects and {Sundial of the Infinite} that works surprisingly well.

Keep exiling permanents strategically and defensively, then start whipping out the {Sudden Disappearance}s and go on the attack.

The Goblin Bombardment legacy deck came out of left field, altough it didn't win.
