Title: Give opponent token creatures?
Post by: Birdbrain on February 25, 2013, 10:40:04 AM
Can you use cards that put token creatures on the battlefield to put them in play under your opponents control?

Like {midnight haunting} it only says on the battlefield

{Forbidden Orchard}
{Gideon champion of justice}

Although, back to my question. Can you use something like {midnight haunting} to give the opponent creatures?

Edit; wait! {guild feud}!

Edit: {twilights call}, trample!

I'm not so sure, but I don't think so because if the card wanted you to give it to an opponent it would say so like in  {Forbidden Orchard}

But it doesn't say you can't. Probably because most players who use the card would only give themselves the creatures. Though you might be right. Still, second opinion please?

Sorry, Bird. Was half asleep, so I misread the question.

No, unless it specifies "target player," cards like {Midnight Haunting} will put them into play under your control only.

Same principle as effects that say "gain _ life." The controller of the spell or effect will be affected by it unless stated otherwise.
ah man! Oh well. Plus one to you anyway
