Title: Palringo
Post by: Karrthus on February 22, 2013, 12:52:45 AM
I always read about people boned in trades and just thought I would bring up the app called {Palringo}. It could benefit us greatly in trades. Now for the high risk trades we already have the mod middle man set up, so for little trades I suggest this. It's a free app meant for socializing, however, you can take pictures and send them via PM. So in smaller trades for an added security, photo message the cards on pal so your trading partner knows you have them.

It doesn't add any security whatsoever, I can show you pictures of cards I do not own, claim that I do and there's no way for you to verify it through Palringo.

I was just joking ^^
I agree pictures are very unreliable :)
If you want definite proof get a skype call going and show the cards over webcam ;D

Doesn't help at all. I can show you the cards, show you how I pack them and then do not send them at all.

I was suggesting pal so people could have another way to verify a trade. If you want to make sure the cards playable, or if you simply just want to see the cards. I know not everyone will care for it, but some people will feel better just by seeing a picture. Me personally I use pal with a few different apps. I use it to check the condition of the items I will be receiving.

And this is wrong, as all palringo does is giving you false security.

Don't have to download an app to send a pic you can just text it.

But they give out their adress?
Kinda assbackwards if you ask me...
Trading is just a risky thing!
There isnt really a better way to deal with it than the middleman system we've got. And thats still fairly unreliable if you go into details.
Trust and kindness is all you can hope for.
