To use a cipher ability do you cast the spell normally, then choose to exile it or can it be exiled from your hand with no mana cost?

Can I encode one creature with multiple ciphers?

Say I have two  {Shadow Slice} cards in my hand. Can I cast both and encode two different creatures?

Lol, I wasn't sure because they share the same name and are both exiled. Though I guess if that was the case it would say can't play card with same name as exiled card. Now say my opponent has no blocking creatures, I lay down a creature with haste, and cast two shadow slice spells and encode them both onto the creature with haste, then attack with that creature during combat phase would those spells be cast again?

Yep. Which is how a Standard Dimir deck might like to operate. Get yourself some {Invisible Stalkers} and have fun. 😈
