Title: Crypt Rats, Spirit en-Kor
Post by: borland on February 20, 2013, 05:49:42 AM
If I use a {Crypt Rats} to hit all creatures for say, 2 damage, and the only other creature I control is {Spirit en-Kor} (or another en-Kor creature with the same ability), can I redirect the damage from the spirit back to the rats themselves?

It seems like this should work, but the timing is a bit strange. A friend argued that the rats would have killed themselves and thus be ineligible for the damage redirect, but my view is that the damage is all simultaneous, and so the rats are still a valid target.

Ohh... I just read the oracle text for {Spirit en-Kor} which clears it up. I'm an old player from years back and hadn't seen the reprinted version or the online oracle text. Cheers

Well, this is the first time I've seen someone resolve their own question, congrats!
