Title: Spellskite, Hexproof, Removal
Post by: Silent1236 on February 18, 2013, 04:40:59 AM
I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but it's late and I'm probably wrong.

If {Spellskite} is on the field alongside {Glaring Spotlight} and another permanent is targeted by some removal spell, can you change the target to {Spellskite}, then give it hexproof with {Glaring Spotlight} and escape unscathed (except for the spotlight)?  Sorry if this has already been asked 

As long as its in that order, yes. {Spellskite} has to be a legal target at the time you use it's ability, so in this case it would work. If you gave it hexproof first, you wouldn't be able to change the target to spellskite.
