Cremate is not standard

May I suggest {Dutiful Thrull}, he is an awesome blocker as well as can set up combos for you. I'd also so {Crypt Ghast} would do wonders. Maybe {Kingpin's Pet}, {Blind Obedience}?

Cremate isn't bad at all. Albeit it's not the best mainboard but people play have it sideboard all the time. Specifically for reanimate decks (not to mention it's black draw power without the normal cost of paying life or saccing a creature). It's cheap, especially since the best 1 drop graveyard targeting mechanic card ( {Deathrite Shaman} ) is over ten bucks a pop and rising. But shaman is no good in this deck anyway, seeing as he has no green mana; making cremate a very good and viable black grave removal/draw power.

Yeah... There's this thing, called rest in peace
Quote from: Wsuryanjeska on February 17, 2013, 01:53:01 AMYes rest in peace definetly puts a stop to grave yard shenanigans but cremate does give you a card and loses them a card from grave, and it's a instant so if you don't really have a threat you need to deal with right then you can just drop one of their cards out of the grave and draw a card (all at the end of the turn).
Yeah... There's this thing, called rest in peace

the {Obzedat, Ghost Council} is awesome!! He dodges board wipes deals two points puts your opponent on a clock, and can attack for five each turn, your pretty heavy into black so lilianna seems fine, {Sorin, Lord of Innistrad} is a possibility because he can sit there and supply you with 1/1 and and emblems not exactly sure what I think of Gideon, he hasn't been getting much play time in tournaments, I really like him as a card and want him to work, but I don't think he does quite enough. I like the idea of pulling a ermahgedon type strategy but at that point it could be considered "win more". But I haven't seen him in play with the build so he could work a lot better then I am thinking, and if you wanted some grave hate, then in your build I would be heading straight for {tormod's crypt}

Thanks for the reco man (and the support) I may actually look at {Sorin, Lord of Innistrad} as an investment. Take out one of the Gideons. I think that I have the cards necessary to make a decent deck in standard I just have to play with it more.
