When does the innistrad block cycle out?
October
Should be September for the block to rotate.

More likely the pre-release will happen at the end of September and on the 1st Friday of October will mean Innastrad will not be a legal set for standard.

That LGS totally lied to your friends. Maze is just the third set in the RTR block, doesn't rotate .poo.

For 1 dragon maze comes out in may and m14 will come out in July. And for the 2nd part their crazy and need help.
Clearly as a LGS they aren't using the resources wizards provided them as all sanctioned stores get info on what's going on in the MTG world.

...or they don't know how google works... Or are a brand new LGS owned by pokemon players that don't know how set rotation has worked for the last few years...
Or ignorance...
Thing is it's a very big store around the Midwest. Biggest for magic anyway. They host all the tournaments around this area and should know these things. I think my friends must have heard them wrong or something. Just doesn't make sense

Mind you, the M13 rotation was different than normal last time wasn't it?
Nope, rotation hasn't changed in my entire play history. The first friday of october is the only time of year that anything rotates out. This means our card pool gets bigger and bigger until it reaches critical mass from july through september and then shrinks back down in october.
I can't wait until when everything rotates... I love Innistrad, but I'll sacrifice it all just to get that pesky Thragtusk away... if they reprint him in M14 I'll probably explode.
I thought it wouldn't rotate out until next year?
Nvm, I thinking of something else. It is October.

So in the summer of 2011 you could play with both M11 and M12 cards?
Yes....and this year it's m13 and m14. At least from July to October.
