Title: Deathtouch, 0 Power
Post by: Psyhcicwars on February 14, 2013, 06:58:07 PM
If  {Vampire Nighthawk} has  {Chant of the Skifsang} placed on it if it blocks with A negative power does what it blocks still die?

No, Vampire Nighthawk has to deal damage to kill something. It cannot deal damage if it has less than 1 power. He is good but not that good! ;)

I thought 0 damage was still combat damage..? Just a number of 0? Ive been told that on multiple occasions.

0 means nothing. If nighthawk deals nothing damage, it deals no combat damage. Therefore deathtouch does not effect anything.

It is the same with {Drogskol Reaver} on the field. If {Vampire Nighthawk} has -13/-0, lifelink cannot cause you to draw cards since it dealt 0 damage. You gained 0 life, which means you did not gain life.
