My trade with him was for $3 worth of cards, so I wasn't going to make a fuss over it. Im just putting it out there since other people also have trades with him that are taking a while.

I have a trade with him and he said that the mail just takes a long time in his area. I've had good trades with him in the past so I'm inclined to trust him.

Good to hear. Even if he was lazy an sent a few days later I still like to hear he's safe
I had a good trade with him as well last April . I still trust him.

My first trade ever is with ericlay95. He was all prompt with PMs during the discussion, and then when I sent first and PM that it was on its way, not even a courtesy PM in response, let alone completion of the trade, but okay it has only been 6 days. But a courtesy PM would be nice.

I've traded with ericclay before.  It just took some time.  I've been waiting for a month and a half or so, but I'm  not terribly worried.  He's been pretty good about pm'ing me back and he hasn't just left like the people that actually have burned me.

And I'm assuming Ericclay94 is just Ericclay95 after something happened to his account or he accidentally signed out and forgot his password or something :P

Yeah, about that, I don't know what that is. I received PMs from Ericlay94, but my replies go to both ericlay94 and ericlay95. whichever. I do know that it's one word with one c though.

I have a trade going with him right now too.

No trade should take a month and a half if the cards were sent on time. Mail isn't that slow. Ever. Just saying.

I sent him a Tamiyo, godless shrine , glacial fortress and 9 zen lands. I hope he is still good I really need the engineered explosives for my modern deck. But like I said I had successful trades with him before so I'm not worried.

How are this many people all currently trading with him? Bad business. He has $25 worth of cards I sent him and I hope he sends his end. I'd advise anyone else to hold off until we know everyone gets their cards.....

This is for ericclay

I'm trading with him, but I'm waiting on him to send his end first. Maybe he's too bogged down with trades? Or just going to run away with everything. Who knows.

All I know is that I don't want to hear it this time if people get taken again. It happens once a month at this point and it's just annoying.

Ive been waiting since January 14th, so yeah. No way cards should take that long. Even if it is slow mail. Ive had stuff from overseas shipped to me and it didnt take anywhere near this long.

Well luckily I had delays on my end, I was gonna send him my cards tomorrow but now I'm going to wait until I receive, as unlikely as that seems now.  Good luck to all with him.

This.  I think a post saying that the person is untrustworthy is sensible.  So is being pissed off at the person.  But all the posts stating that you're going to go to their house and stuff is over the top.  Yeah, you may have lost a card or several cards, but a bunch of posts about it isn't really necessary.  There's always going to be a risk with online trading.  I realize I'm being a bit hypocritical because I made a couple posts pertaining to the MetalMadMan deal, but I do agree with DC here.

All I expect and try to do is keep in constant contact with ppl I trade with. I've waited a month and a half for cards and so have people on the receiving end. The mail is certainly never consistent either. I think a major upgrade to track pending and completed trades as well as a trader rating would be ideal. Other than that, when word gets around, make an untrusted trader a send-first-only, as well as new members. My first deal, I sent a $25 card so I'm not worried.

I have to disagree with you and dc. Yes dude core and you have seen this before and will see it again as being older members. To some people this is the first time for them. Let them express what they want and blow off some steam. Unless we lock the site not allowing new members things or ideas are going to appear again.

I meant that I don't personally want to hear about it. It's fine to vent and get your anger out. I just don't have to read it. As a moderator I'm often asked to do things outside of my scope of power.

I have a full time job, I do this on my own free time, and can't afford to force anyone into litigation over cards - if I could believe me I would. What I can, and our other moderators do, is offer a free service where you can send trades through us.

This thing is happening too often that i have to wash my hands of it somehow. I was ripped off by Kuberr, but never again. I have learned a lesson. There is no easy solution at all. New members are asked to send their side first, and older players turned rogue can capitalize on it.

It's gonna happen again so stop posting about it I know there is nothing you can do and I hope no one expects you to. I understand that you are donating your time and we do appreciate it. I totally see where you're coming from, but I'm not talking about just the major deals either.  I've seen several "It's been a week and my cards still aren't here!  This guy is a (profanity) and you shouldn't trade with him!"  Those are unnecessary and I just think that talking about going to their house and stuff is unnecessary.  It is good to let people know that a person is a bad trader though.  Just don't say that after a week or a week and a half or something.  I know I'm kinda just repeating myself, but I'm trying to say it where I don't sound like an .rearexit..  I just can't think of the best wording :-\

Sadly, to keep things free, that's all you can go off of. If people can vouch for someone or not. As explained in a thread in the Ideas and Feedback section, yeah you can use things like eBay and PayPal, but there's fees involved. The whole point of trading is to keep from having to spend money. Yeah it sucks when this happens, but as stated numerous times before, don't trade what you can't afford to lose, if it sounds to good to be true, then it most likely is, and if you have reservations about a trade, use the middle-man insurance option.

Yeah we definitely need to be more proactive towards making a better trading experience for all. I think we should have like a vouch count with dates so people can get a better idea of who is a good trader. Also we need to post city, state, and zip codes tagged to usernames who turn out to be bad traders.

I mean metalmadman is still on the first page when you look at trust trade for example. It just needs cleaned up
