Say I have a 4/1 creature with first strike and trample and declare it as an attacker. My opponent blocks with two 2/2 creatures. What happens here?
Your creature's damage is assigned before the other creatures, and 4 is enough to kill both, so theirs will die and yours will be dealt no damage. However, their though ness combined (2+2) is 4, soaking up all of your creature's 4 damage, so none is left over to be dealt to the defending player. End combat!
RESOLVED
Your first striker slaps both of those creatures out of existence so long you deal lethal to both. He lives another day.
So the same could be said with {Guardian of the Gateless}? If you gave it first strike it would be deadly if you blocked multiple creatures with it?
You would win.. Unless your opponent was smart enough to have banding!! O.o
Okay now say {Guardian of the Gateless} has first strike and lifelink and blocks 10 creatures. Would you gain 13 life for each creature it blocked essentially gaining 130 life? This will never happen just curious lol
No it only deals 13 damage total
Oh so the first strike only works until your power is used up?
Yes, first strike just means youll deal the 13 damage, divided any way you choose, before you are dealt any damage(assuming your opponent has no first strike creatures).
Gotcha! That answered my question! Thank you :)

Must clarify, divided as you choose so long you deal lethal to a damaged creature before carrying onto the other.
Ah thanks, always safe to be 100% clear
