Syncopate and essence scatter is bad.   Essence should be sideboarded.

Dissipate is better than syncopate. Or so I have found while running control. Blind obedience is also gret for walker control decks.

If you have them or can get them, {Snapcaster Mage} is very good.

Also, {Nevermore} is an awesome sideboard card.  It helps you get around uncounterable cards like {Abrupt Decay}, or {Slaughter Games}, or just big threats you don't want them to cast.

Devour flesh eats aggressive decks alive. As well as sideboards like human fratality for the pesky humAn decks.

Put 2 {Planar Cleansing} in the sideboard. Planeswalkers are going to hurt you badly, they do most Esper decks.

And some {negate} for the mirror.

Definitely {Negate}, and {Merciless Eviction} is an answer to planeswalkers if u wanna keep ur enchantments/creatures
