Title: Dimir Keyrune, Cipher
Post by: HandsomeStallion on February 03, 2013, 05:03:11 AM
If I activate my key tune to be a creature and played {paranoid delusions}, when I end my turn would the keyrune still be encoded? Or would the encoded {paranoid delusions} fall off of the keyrune and be exiled off of the keyrune.

Cipher stays on the card until it changes zones.

Aand here's your ruling:

702.97c The card with cipher remains encoded on the chosen creature as long as the card with cipher remains exiled and the creature remains on the battlefield. The card remains encoded on that object even if it changes controller or stops being a creature, as long as it remains on the battlefield.

Awesome I didn't know there was a ruling for cipher lol, it makes things much easier.
The keyrune has cipher until it is in the graveyard. Thank vampire.

Hijacking this for a sec. Can you activate(turn into creature) a tapped keyrune?
