Why would I put the tomb over the cemetery in my green/black deck?
To cast that one drop if you only have either of the duals in your starting hand. Or to be able to search for a forest or swamp
Well, I see they both give a black or green when tapped. Both come in to play tapped except in the case of the tomb if I pay 2 life, or inthe case of the cemetery not tapped if I have a swamp on tge board. I see a lot of decks with two of each but don't get why you wouldn't just have 4 cemetery.
{Overgrown tomb} is better in my opinion. As stated above, you'd want to see that in your opening hand over the cemetery.
In the case that you have a starting hand with only tombs and cemetaries, the tomb still allows for 1 drops and an untapped cemetary t2. At the cost of 2 life ofcourse.
{Farseek}
Both are good. Shock lands ({Overgrown Tomb}) are good for early mana fixing, and mana fixing in decks that play a lot of non-basic lands. Since it has both subtypes, Forest Swamp, it can be searched for with {Farseek}. They're better for eternal formats, the loss of 2 life is nothing if it could win you a game.
Tap lands ({Woodland Cemetery}) are good for standard, because its the other choice of dual land....and sometimes enter the battlefield untapped. Dual colors decks like them, multi color decks would rather have the Shock Lands.
Thanks, I now see the advantage.
Why not both? Just wondering.
