Well now that the set is all revealed I feel quite overwelmed with all of the new cards. I know that my gisela deck just got some new tech as well as my BW deck that's in the works ({Aureila's fury}, {battlefield medic}, and the angel herself are definitely going in)What are you guys most excited about for edh regarding gatecrash?
{Enter the Infinite} and {Thespian's Stage} are the cards I like most. Those cards seem like fun.
Yeah I'm waiting for someone to play {Omniscience} and then cast {Enter the Infinite}for free. Also {Mycosynth Lattice} and {Hellkite Tyrant} would be fun.
I'm thinking {Lord of the Void} will have a home in my kaalia deck :)
{Merciless Eviction} fits right into my Esper deck. Looking for a place to put {Obzedat, Ghost Council}. Besides that, not much else.
Oh man, my Minority Report, s03e10 Blink AND Currency of Orzhov will be getting major over hauls since I bowed out of MtG after AVR, especially my Currency of Orzhov deck now the spirit slavers are back. {Obzedat, Ghost Council} will have a definite home it in, along with in {Deathpact Angel} in all three!!! YAAAAAAAY!!!
I'm pretty excited for the pseudo-Titan, pseudo-Preator Avatars for Animar.
I am disappointed overall. There a few great edh cards for black white as mentioned above but honestly I am really bummed that the simic didn't get much. The cypher token copy thing is good and Boros got so saucy hotness but that's about it. Extort won't see much edh play and dimir mill will never be good in edh.
All the avatars are great for EDH. So is {merciless eviction}. And each one of the guild leaders is a very good option as a general. I'm personally looking forward to {Lazav, Dimir Mastrmind} and am already building a new deck with him at the helm.

Evil evil man I can just see it now " cast my general now let's see who do I want to {traumatize}" lmao

Yup ;) traded for the Traumatize Friday. I'm pretty much going to fill the deck with mana combos, X mill spells, tutors, control, {Mindcrank}, and {Duskmantle Guildmage} type stuff.
I think the big splashy EDH avatars are silly. The green one is the worst, {Sylvan Primordial}. Every green deck should run one.

I'm looking at building a Lazav commander deck as well. How many EDH deck is too many? I think I have a problem! π
To quote myself, regarding Gatecrash and the Primordial cycle:
" Not a fan. It's not because they're not good. It's because designing for EDH is silly. EDH to me is a rogue format. It is full of obstacles and things that make you work hard to figure out. It is so dependent on the meta, and what decks you're playing this week. Even netdecking doesn't help in Commander.
When Wizards designs for EDH, it is like when parents get involved in a kids game. One week you're playing "kill the man with the ball", next week you've got pads strapped to you and you're obeying rules. While "kill the man with the ball" should probably be a safer game, it ruins the spirit.
When wizards makes a product for EDH that drives it (like making {Kaalia of the Vast} and {The Mimeoplasm}), they're getting involved in territory that does not require their interference.
The Primordial cycle is designed for EDH, and if people play them, it's because they're too good not to play. The Meta no longer drives the need to play those cards, but instead Wizards does. Commander should not be like Standard, it is the very reason so many people love it.
Edit: printing {Kaalia of the Vast} for the purpose of playing EDH is silly. It wasn't printed in a major set, a core set, it was designed and printed because "this this what EDH players like", and it is in a color combination where it is STRICTLY the best card to play. But what type of EDH players want this card? Well nobody in theory, it violates the organic philosophy behind EDH. They used to design these cards anyway, and they happen to fit the narrow parameters of EDH.
Wizards involvement in EDH, despite my love for them (I'll always buy product until my dying day) makes me wish a new format came along that they didn't design for. Leave EDH players alone! We will find enough things on our own."

That is a nice card {Mycosynth Lattice} with the Hellkite I was already adding to my UR deck.

I disagree there are plenty of new splash cards for mill that will be enhancing my circu deck. My play group is not happy about it lol.

Is it just me, or am I the only one that is constantly looking for new commanders? So when new sets are released I always hope for sweet new creatures. I wish they would add a few creatures with 3 or more colors more often.

I'm still waiting for a 4 color commander. I think that could be fun.
I can say that I will definitely be playing the following:
{Fathom Mage}
{Simic Charm}
{Sylvan Primordial}
{Elusive Krasis}
{Γtherize}
{Mystic Genesis}
I may be playing the guildgates and {Shambleshark} but im not sure yet
Of course these cards are only for my Maelstrom Wanderer deck
There are still many other cards i think will be influential in EDH though
