Can someone explain how {Void Stalker} works and how you best use it?

Void stalker lets you choose an opponent's creature and shuffle it into their library at the cost of you paying 3 mana, tapping void stalker, and then shuffling it into your own library. In short, you use it to get rid of something scary that your opponent has on the battlefield.

It does not have to be an opponents creature. It can be any creature that's targetable. Although the most practical use is on an opponents creature. But you could save a creature of yours from certain doom and then use a fetch card like {Birthing Pod} to bring em back.

The best use for {Void Stalker} is when an opponent attacks with two or mote creatures. Block one with stalker, then before the damage step, make the other one shuffle!

Another fun thing is when you use {Azorius Charm} on a creature, then use void stalker on another one. Now the creature you sent to the top of your opponent's deck is shuffled!

Oh man! Now that's evil! My void stalker that's just been sitting in my rares pile just found a new home!

It's a tempo card. Tempo cards essentially do one of two things. Slow down and opponents progress, or speed up your own. Although most of the speed up tempo cards are in green, and the slow down ones are in blue. Except blue does have draw which can keep the threats coming.

One use is use {void stalker}. Then use this one card were you name a certain card in an opponents library, and they reveal cards off the top of the library untill the card is revealed. Then everything goes to the graveyard.

{Void Stalker} = amazing in EDH. If only it had flying, it could beat stupid {Kaalia of the Vast}. And if it were an Illusion it would go right into my deck.
