Title: Nivix Guildmage
Post by: La_Jungla on January 20, 2013, 08:00:10 AM
I have two questions about the Nivix Guilmage card (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=270366):

1. This is about the draw a card, discard a card in general - If I have no card on my hand when I do the draw a card, discard a card thing, do I then discard the card I pick up?

2. "Copy target instant or sorcery spell you control" - The cards I "control" are they the cards that I have in my hand? Or does it only apply for an instant/sorcery that is currently in play? The next line "You may choose new targets for the copy" seems to strengthen this theory.

1) yes you must discard the card you draw
2) yes you may only copy instants/sorceries on the stack

For future reference, you can link to cards within this app by either hitting the "+{card}" button at the top left hand corner, or my putting the card name in curly brackets {     }. Beats having to hunt down a URL for the image!

{nivix guildmage}

Quote me to see exactly what im talking about.
