Title: PayPal
Post by: Wally on January 18, 2013, 11:56:07 PM
So, is there any chance we can figure out a way to use PayPal or another escrow account service to help with trading on here.

It seems that trusting people are too vulnerable to dodgy people.
This would be at least the third time (possibly 4th) since I have been here where people have been shafted on trades.

Just throwing ideas around...

Phone verification, require tracking for payment/items, verified eBay account/verified PayPal.

It would be smart to take photographic evidence/keep receipts from the post office. I do this to ensure any purchases on eBay from me cannot be "didn't receive".

With PayPal you have to make sure you do as many steps to cover your ass as people will just say they never got the item and will get their money refunded. Receipts + tracking will prove the item arrived and was sent.

Possible to start banning users who have 5+ separate incidents of not being legit? I feel like users with 10-15 feedback would be the minimum malicious accusations don't occur from people who are unknown in the community.

What if iMtG posts two private BuyItNows on eBay, with status change notifications in iMtG, for both of you at the same time, for both sides of trade?
