Title: Azorius Charm, Blocking
Post by: average_j03 on January 17, 2013, 10:37:27 AM
If I swing with a creature and my opponent chooses a blocker to which I use  {Azorius Charm}, does damage go through to the player still?

Unless your creature has trample, no it will deal 0 damage because its "blocked"

Nope. Unfortunately a blocked creature is blocked, if they're on the battlefield or not.

Yep the creatures in magic are stupid...they get blocked and before the fight the creature disappears and then your creature will flail his arms until he can't go on any more, instead of being useful and run straight to the other player :/
Always cast return spells before blocks.

Problem with the charm is you can't cast it before the blockers are declared. Id use it to save a creature from a gang block. Or remove an opponents fattie from combat.
