That varies on the average casting cost of creatures and if your gonna use any special lands. Ie  {Cabal Coffers}

You typically want to have about 24 lands in a 60 card deck. You might be able to go down to 22 if you have a low mana curve (no cards costing above 5) and/or have only a single color in your deck. Even then, I don't recommend going below 22 lands. 24 is ideal.

There are a lot of zombies that can cast themselves from the grave in innistrad/dark ascension/avacyn restored.

I meant directly to the battlefield. I can't really think of any uses for {grave purge} to be honest. And I even bought the card hoping I could find one

Yeah, not so great.  Ok if you're running one of's and something gets knocked out, but I can't really think of a great application for it.

{Gravepurge}, no. Try running {Ghoulcaller's Chant}, it accomplishes pretty much the same goal and costs {2} less. I love that card, it can even grab non-Zombies if you have to discard or mill that 1 of Demon or whatever.

I'm just getting back into mtg so I try to keep the deck number as close to sixty as possible with roughly a 20/20/20. For casual it's been working well. My zombie deck is pretty effective and I've moved from mono black to a dash of blue. I just find that all my decks are better when they are tighter ie 3-4 each kind of card, good speed and combos

There are many great zombie cards. Many overpowered, some costly, some not. But I think we need to delve into the past to find a black and of blue card to rid us of our two, strongest blights.  {Avacyn, Angel of Hope} and  {Ground Seal}
