Have duskmantle guildmage and mindcrank out. Activate guildmages ability and instant death!! :)

{Duskmantle Guildmage} makes them lose life whenever they mill, Mindcrank makes them mill whenever they lose life. Say you play {Mind Sculpt}. The guildmage would make them lose 7 life, since they milled 7. {Mindcrank} would then make them mill 7, since they just lost 7 life. Then the guildmage would say, "Hey, they just lost life" and the process continues until they lose.

Um I doesn't cause a loss of life, it just forces a card draw of discard.. I'm a little confuesed

My bad, I apologize I just looked the card up and your right. I was confuesed because the card I saw was thinking if was dimir guildmage. And yeah that combo is broken

My guild is Dimir so I'm definitely using this combo. U can also try out mindcrank and bloodchief ascension.... I love mindcrank!!!!!!

How about this duskmantle guildmage and  {Jace, Memory Adept}. T2-4 guildmage, T5 jace T6 activate mage twice an mill with jace.

Just the amount of cards needed, both work, just more likely with only two cards.

Mana ability refers to creating mana, duskmantle is an activated ability. It wouldn't work for things like  {Llanowar Elves}.

The ability says "whenever an opponent loses life..."

No player is targeted, nor specified. If three opponents somehow milled 10 cards simultaneously, all three would lose life from the Guildmage's abiliity.

I think he's confused by the "you may choose new targets" in {illusionists bracers}. If that's the case, I just want to point out that "may" gives you a choice. You don't HAVE TO choose new targets. It's just an option.

Edit: But as Testset said, the Guildmage doesn't target, so the "you may choose new targets" is ignored anyways.
