My boyfriend and I just played fnm last night at the local shop in his parents town. It was pretty weak all around. It was open format, there were about 14 players. My boyfriend and I took 1st and 2nd and got one pack each as prize support (lol). We each had one person rage quit while playing us, and we each had one very young opponent who didn't understand how our decks worked. On the plus side, the store has a flat rate of .50 for uncommons and we profited like crazy. Haven't been around here in awhile and just wanted to share and say hi!
What is open format? Did anyone use iMtG? ;)
Sounds like a pretty victorious day! What kind of decks were you guys playing/playing against?
I was playing Kiki Kiki modern pod and my bf was playing modern affinity. I played against a standard mill, standard vampire, casual white weenie, casual vampires, and modern affinity (played against my bf in the last round obviously) haha it was fun but NOT what we expected. It's a tiny town so maybe it should have been exactly what we expected hahaha
