Title: Adding loyalty counters
Post by: Graveborn on February 01, 2012, 01:46:26 PM
Ok I been out of magic for 3 blocks due to my health. What I want to know is how u add loyalty counters? I know u do it once per turn any time u can play a sorcery. But do u need proliferate or any other counter adding affects to activate the ability?

No, you don't NEED other effect to add counters. The + or - by the number on the Planeswalker indicates the cost for activatin the ability. So, to use {Sorin, Lord of Innistrad}'s first ability, you simply add one loyalty counter as the cost to activate.

On the other hand, you may also use proliferate to add more counters if you need to use his -() abilities sooner or more often. {Contagion Engine} is one of my favorites :)
