So my girlfriend's oldest brother came into town for christmas. He decided to have a yugioh tournament with the rest of the younger siblings with a new skylander and some random cards as the prize.
I still have my cards from back in the day and maintain two decks for when i'm hanging out with them (though now theyre starting to get ito magic thankfully). Anyways i was asked to join this tournament. The format was single elimination with a catch, each person could enter up to three decks (each as a seperate contender in the tourney).
I entered with my zombies and burn stall but there was an odd number so i took 5min to tos together a harpie deck and ended up taking the tournament with my harpie deck and burn stall in the final round effectively making me 1st and 2nd with the middle brother taking 3rd. All their deck were good, but magic has taught me so much about probabilities and strategy that i was able to dominate some very difficult match ups.
