Title: Noobish legality question
Post by: LhûgThalion on December 17, 2012, 05:27:59 PM
In regards to format legality, is a card legal as long as it has a version printed in the current legal block? For example  {Acidic Slime} has a version in M13, M12, M11 etc, could I use any of those incarnations in a standard legal deck? Or do they all have to have the M13 set logo?

Yes any version can be used, this should also be posted in rules as well.

Ok that's what I thought but I've never really played anything other than casual so I never bothered to learn legalities like that thank you

In the same way that basic lands are reprinted, allowing you to use full art ones from the zen set it just basic lands from any set.

Although there is some rule about non black borders I think?

Yeah that part I knew, regardless of print, white borders can't be used outside of casual I think
