Obviously this deck is literally just being started, i need some artifacts or blue/red cards that utilize the {X} mana mechanic such as {Steel Hellkite}, and any other cards that just seem awesome to use
It's hard to get a tell on the direction you want to take this deck. But there are two things I've noticed. One is, you haven't taken much advantage of Metalcraft. It's a nice ability back in the scars block. Secondly, where are your burn cards? {Galvanic Blast} would do pretty well here. Or even a {Red Sun's Zenith} or two. I will check some of my cards out tomorrow and get back to you with some more suggestions though.
Im still all over the place with deck building, Im having surprising amounts of trouble pickin direction for my deck and moving in that direction efficiently, or else i focus too hard on what i want to do and leave no room for other cards that are necessary
I understand that. I've been playing upwards for 11 years now. (Granted when I was younger I SUCKED) And I still have trouble building decks from time to time. Some of my best decks I've ever made took like 20 minutes to build. And some of my worst decks took a long time to make. But personally, this deck looks like it relies on the heavy hitters. So I would knock a couple of them out and put some smaller creatures in. Also, I would suggest a couple {Slagstorm} in there. It's a good field wipe and it can turn the tides of the game. Oh also if you can, pop a couple {Mox Opal} although that isn't really a necessity.
