So I understand that activated abilities are any ability that can be used through a certain cost or action but can anybody mention anything that might not be clearly an activated ability. My first question is planeswalker loyalty abilities.
Loyalty abilities are activated abilities. The cost is adding or subtracting loyalty.
An easy way to spot an activated ability is looking for a colon. [Cost] : [Ability] is the general layout for a card with an activated ability.
