I need cards that'll give most/all of my opponent's creatures -1/-1 counters. Deck colors are UBR, casual format.
You can use {Black Sun's Zenith} but that'll give your creatures counters too. But that is the best of them I believe.
{Contagion Engine}
{Curse of Death's Hold} is a great one

Not sure if that meets OP's criteria because the curse doesn't place counters, but it is a great card
The Shadowmoor/Eventide block is your friend. {Scar}, {Puncture Bolt}, {Everlasting Torment}, {Blowfly Infestation} + {Crumbling Ashes}, and me: {Kulrath Knight} ;)
Youre my friend?!? Hahah
I think MaRo had talked frequently about how he opposed +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters being in sets because of NWO (self imposed design rules to prevent the game from being too difficult to understand for new players). There are cards that give -1/-1 ({Tragic Slip}) but cards that give -1/-1 counters are rare, it will only be more difficult to come by in the future.
Evidently players understand +1/+1 counters, but not -1/-1 counters
What's so confusing about -1/-1 counters? They weaken creatures. Do the creatures have 0 or less toughness as a result? Then they return to dust. Or aether in this case. What's so complicated about that?

I think it's more of a "now you have to keep track of all these counters in addition to everything else you're learning" kinda deal. Learning about the stack and everything can be overwhelming by itself, let alone having to keep track of how much P/T your creatures actually have (provided they have -1/-1 counters on them). It can just be a lot for a new player to deal with.

But the -1/-1 counter is there if you put them on a creature. So, what's there to keep track of? Just look at how many -1/-1 counters your creatures have in conjunction with there toughness. And FYI, I'm relatively new to this game

I guess if you have a bunch of creatures and they start getting a seperate amount of counters, it can start getting annoying. It can start being a burden keeping track of which ones have -1/-1 or -3/-3 if you have enough creatures. I don't personally think its too confusing, but I suppose it could be quite an annoyance at times.
I use black wooden cubes from the strategy game Risk. Works very well!

It can get very confusing, but was worse when we had Infect in the format. Now, the craziest interaction I've seen with these buffs and debuffs was as follows:
{Stromkirk Noble} soul bonded to {Silverblade Paladin} with {Curse of Stalked Prey} On my side while the opponent has cursed me with {Curse of Death's Hold}. That was not a fun game.
That sounds like a nightmare Xaol haha. My personal experience with -1/-1 counters was playing a wither deck while fighting a token swarm deck. It started to get real annoying keeping track of all the counters, especially when buffs were thrown in the mix.
A new deck idea revolved around aggrivating your opponent into submission??
If you haven't, I suggest anyone to read MaRo's (Mark Rosewater, lead MtG Designer) blog. He answers questions, explains design, is funny and it's a great thing to have as players. He gets into keywords sometimes and has stated: -1/-1 counters will never be in a core set, protection/regenerate don't act like the name implies and design doesn't like it, storm will never come back.
As fans of the game, were able to interact with the designers and developers is just fantastic. He does a podcast while he's driving to work, writes great article, designs cards and then tweets and answers questions on tumblr. None stop.
