Hey can anyone give me a list of modern staples? I know their is dark confidant and tarmigoyf, but what other cards are the staples?
It depends on what type of deck you are playing.
I would throw {Kitchen Finks} out there though.
{Deathrite Shaman} is a big one also.

What do you mean you wouldn't consider Gifts a staple? It's used in Urza tron decks and is a big part of the strategy in that deck. Plus it's used in the reanimator.
I can see why it's banned in EDH. {Gifts ungiven} is craaazy good.
