Title: Curse of Death's Hold, Blood Artist, Undying Evil
Post by: Jdogtoocool on December 08, 2012, 08:47:48 PM
{Curse of deathshold}

If I have the curse in play and my opponent plays a {blood artist} do they have a chance to respond with an {undying evil} to keep it on the field?

They can give their creature undying, but it will still have to go to the graveyard to get the +1/+1 counter.

No.

Cast {blood artist}
He resolves and enters battlefield
State based is checked and kills him
His trigger goes on the stack
And now you get priority to cast {undying evil}, but it's too late.

This would work with a {mikeaus, the unhallowed} however since the creature has the ability as part of game state when state based is checked.
